ZOOM ACADEMY CELEBRATES GRAND INAUGURATION

ZOOM, SEP 30, 2024 – The community of Mekelle, Diaspora area celebrated the grand inauguration of the new ZOOM ACADEMY with great enthusiasm and excitement on Sunday. The event marked a significant milestone in the city’s commitment to providing quality education and state-of-the-art facilities for its students.

The inauguration ceremony began at 8:30 AM with a warm welcome from the Academy board member, Mr. Gebregergis Abraha. He expressed his gratitude to the local government, community members, distinguish guests and construction teams for their unwavering support and hard work in making the new school a reality.

“We are thrilled to open the doors of ZOOM ACADEMY to our students” Mr. Haile said. “This new facility represents our dedication to creating a nurturing and innovative learning environment where every child can thrive.”

“This new academy is not just a building; it’s a beacon of hope and opportunity for our children,” said CEO Mr. Haile G/egziabher. “It stands as a testament to our investment in the future and our belief in the power of education to transform lives.”

In addition, CEO Mr. Haile G/egziabher praised the modern design and advanced facilities of the Academy, which include spacious classrooms, a well-equipped library, science and computer labs, a large auditorium, and playground facilities. “ZOOM ACADEMY is designed to inspire and engage students in their learning journey. It’s a place where curiosity, knowledge, and creativity will flourish,” he said.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including H.E. Professor Kindeya Gebrehiwot, coordinator of the social affairs cluster of the interim administration of Tigrai. Professor kindeya inaugurated and opened Zoom Academy on 30 September. In his address, he highlighted the importance of education in building a strong community and the role of the new Academy in shaping the future of its children.

Following the speeches, the ribbon-cutting ceremony took place, with Professor kindeya, several dignitaries, and parents eagerly watching. The first group officials, accompanied by the academy’s community, then toured the new building, marveling at the bright and colorful classrooms, interactive learning spaces, and the attractive playground.

One of the highlights of the new Academy is its emphasis on technology and innovation. Each classroom is equipped with interactive whiteboards and high-quality smart TVs. The academy, which is open up to grade 4, features a dedicated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lab to encourage hands-on learning experiences.

Parents expressed their delight and appreciation for the new Academy. “I am so happy that my child will be attending ZOOM ACADEMY,” said Mrs. Mahlet, a parent of a KG3, second. and third-grader. “The facilities are amazing, and I can see how much effort has gone into creating a wonderful learning environment,”

The inauguration concluded with a cultural program performed by the circus, showcasing their talents in music, which was met with applause and cheers from the audience.

ZOOM ACADEMY is now officially open, ready to welcome students for the upcoming academic year. With its modern amenities and dedicated staff, the Academy is set to become a cornerstone of the community, fostering academic excellence and personal growth for years to come.
